French UN KS Representative Seeks Chairmans' Resign in the North

French Ambassador to the United Nations Nicolas de Javier has said on Monday that elections should be organised soon in Kosovo's north, with the participation of all communities, to elect the new mayors of four Serb majority municipalities.

“Finance recalls that attracting elected mayors with only 3 per cent of the vote would be the fastest way to restore democracy representative in the four municipalities in the north, and would be a sign of the suspension of the” situation.

He has made these statements at a UN Security Council session organised to discuss UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres' six-month report on the work of the UN mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).
