The welcoming ceremony of world leaders from President Vjosa Osmani, who will participate in the International Forum for Women Peace and Security, reports Online Economy.
The official opening ceremony of the Forum will take place by 10:00, the edition, which will welcome participants from more than 40 world states with about a thousand participants.
The second edition of the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, under the organisation of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, will be held in Pristina on 15 April and 16 April.
The EPS 2024 forum brings leaders, experts, academics, civil society representatives, influential, youth and other interest groups together in the hearts of the Western Balkans to discuss the current global challenges presented in the agenda of the IPS during uncertain times, and to maintain the importance of this agenda for lasting peace.
This edition of the forum will focus exclusively on building joint efforts to deal with conflict-related sex violence, as well as on identifying tools and policies to help women and girls sail more safely at the time of increasing climate security threats.
The forum's goal is to address the historical threats to women's security along with new security challenges, with the ultimate goal of joining forces to further advance the IPS agenda.
As the initiative of President Osmani, this forum represents one of the commitments on the side of Kosovo's institutions for the Summit for Democracy and will serve for the exchange of best practices, as well as the development of strategies and the drafting of new action frameworks in the course of an ever-changing architecture of security and peace in Europe and beyond.
