Willlas-Boas was dismissed after less than a season at the top of the Chelsea between 2011 and 2012 before it lasted 18 months at the Spurs after his appointment at the start of the 2012-13 season.
The 46-year-old, who has not worked as a coach since leaving Marseille in 2021 after nearly two years at the Stade Velodrome, led Porton towards a league, cup and triplet of Europe League as coach in 2011 and has now returned to the club, moving Pinto da Costa from the presidency in Estadio do Dragao.
Willlas-Boas received 80.3% of the vote to win the presidency and celebrated his victory by saying, “Porto is free again”.
