The European Union has praised violations of the Movement for Freedom Agreement by the authorities of Serbia, which has blocked Kosovo citizens on its borders, while urging Serbia to refrain from such unilateral actions.
EU spokesman Peter Stano has said he is closely following the created situation.
“We are aware of the situation and follow closely. The Movement Freedom Agreement reached within the EU facilitated dialogue defines clear parameters for Kosovo citizens' entry and exit to and from Serbia. The current situation constitutes violations of this agreement, and we call on Serbia to refrain from such unilateral and uncoordinated actions and immediately return to respecting the” agreement, Stano stressed.
He has now said the EU expects the parties to fully implement all their dialogue obligations, which according to him remain valid and binding.
“We also expect the parties to provide a favourable environment for the development of dialogue and avoid any action that could jeopardise security and stability”, Stano has stressed away.
The European Union's response comes as Serbian authorities have blocked dozens of buses with hundreds of travellers from Kosovo, refusing to allow entry into Serbia. The heads of institutions in Kosovo have praised Serbia's revenge on Kosovo civilians for voting for Kosovo's pro-membership in KiE at the Parliamentary Assembly. / RTK
