According to Business Institute, Tesla's Executive Director has won $33 billion worth of net worth over the past week, according to the Bloomberg Miliards Index.
That was after Tesla's shares grew after reports that the company was one step closer to gaining approval to introduce its full-fledged self-direction technology to China.
China is Tesla's second largest market.
Musk's wealth, closely linked to its 20.5% stake in Tesla, has fluctuated significantly in recent years.
Despite the recent increase, SpaceX CEO has seen his personal wealth drop by $27.5 billion since the beginning of the year, according to Bloomberg data, as Tesla's shares have been declining.
Musk is also much richer than he was in 2021, when he was at the top of the billionaire index with an estimated $340 billion worth of assets.
Three years later, he is now behind LVMH chief Bernard Arnault and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, worth a current $202 billion worth.
