Discussion at one of the largest groups in APKiE about Kosovo membership, MPs thank Bakoyannis

The debate over Kosovo's application for membership in the Council of Europe and the vote of draft opinion will be among the most important points of the European Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly session (APKE), which begins today in Strasbourg and will last until April 19th.
On March 27th, the SPSE Political Commission has approved draft-Opinion for Kosovo's application for membership to the Council of Europe, which this body will declare tomorrow, April 16th, at the plenary session.
Among other topics, during the SPSE session, a joint debate will take place on Alexei Navalny's “death and the need to reject Vladimir Putin's totalitarian regime and his fight against democracy”.
P The SSE will discuss support for the reconstruction of Ukraine, including a proposal for the use of frozen Russian state assets for that purpose, with the participation of Ukraine's Rada Verkhovna (Parliament), Ruslan Stefanchuk.
An urgent debate on “proposed the Framework Convention for Artificial Intelligence, Human Rights, Democracy and Law State” was requested.
There will also be a debate on the Council of Europe's <x0yr in preventing humanitarian disaster in Gaza”.
P The SSE will also discuss protecting children from cyber violence and will hold a joint debate on relations between majority and opposition in a democratic state and on good practices in referenda.

Day 1:
On Monday, April 15, 2024, at 2:00-15 p.m., the Committee for Equality and Do not discriminate, at the fourth point of the agenda will discuss the report on Kosovo's application to the APK. Also, the same day, on the Committee for Legal Affairs and Human Rights will discuss the Kosovo application report to the APEC.
Day 2:
On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the Parliamentary Assembly meeting is held. This spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is of historic importance. This day, sometime around 1600, will be a debate on Kosovo's application to the Council of Europe. This session will discuss Mrs. Dora Bakoyannis, who must receive 2/3 of the votes of the present members.
The Parliamentary Assembly has 46 member states with a total of 302 members plus 306 substitutes. There are 34 countries that have known us, and 14 that have not known us.
