Serbia is continuing to lobbie in all forms against the state of Kosovo, precisely against Kosovo's membership in international organisations, though such a thing is prohibited with the agreement for normalisation of reports.
Serbia's Finance Minister Sinisa Mali has said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has sent letters to all leaders in Europe regarding the Kosovo membership process to the Council of Europe.
“The first challenge for us is the Council of Europe and the war ahead of us”, Mal told Happy television, adding that Serbia will do everything that doesn't happen, writes Nova.rs.
We remember that Vuciq had also stated the previous day that he has established a team that will fight the initiative for Kosovo to join the Council of Europe.
By contrast, the Council of Europe's Committee for Policy and Democracy has approved the rapporteur's report on Kosovo, Dora Bakoyannis, where it is recommended that Kosovo has met the conditions for becoming a full member of the Council of Europe.
After this vote in Strasbourg, the case is prosecuted at the Parliamentary Assembly.
Kosovo has applied in May 2022 for membership in the Council of Europe.
