The chief executive of the CEC Secretariat, Burim Ahmetaj, at today's CECI meeting has said they have sent the letters to the Serbian List and GISPO to replace KKZA members in municipalities in the north after the former members resigned.
On April 7th and 8th, we have accepted the resignations of members of KKZ) representatives from the Serbian List in four municipalities and KKZA representative from GISPO in the Northern Mitrovica municipality. In this regard, the Secretariat has sent the letter to two subjects for the replacement of KKZ members in these municipalities. The paperwork has been submitted today and the deadline for replacing members in these municipalities is April 11th until 4:00th,”, Ahmetaj said.
Yesterday, CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi has confirmed that members of the Serbian List have resigned from the KKZEC to the north.
“Can confirm that we have accepted resignations from the four members of the Municipal Election Commissions for the municipalities of Leposaviq, Zvecan, Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica, who were previously appointed by the CEC as representatives of the Serbian Serb Subject List. At past meetings, the CEC has operated the Municipal Election Commissions in these four municipalities, appointing four executive officials, who are also the leaders of the KKZ, and has made a decision on the appointment of 27 members, who represent parliamentary political subjects. Under the Law for General Elections, the KKZ manages elections within the respective municipality, under the supervision of exclusions and CEC guidelines”, Elesi said.
