Early this morning, the bomb was dropped at the home of Irfan Changic (SDP), Stari Grad municipality head in Sarajevo, and police have announced there is damage.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's Social Democrat Party strongly condemned the bomb attack on Cengiz's house, claiming that such attacks are “an attempt to stop positive processes in the Stari Grad municipality, which the mayor of the municipality initiated in recent months in the interest of citizens of that municipality”.
The DPA called on competent bodies to reveal the attackers as soon as possible, stressing that criminal groups dare not manage the processes in it, as has been in the previous period of managing the Old Town.
Recently, a bomb has been thrown on the road where some of the advisers live in the Belgrade Community Assembly, which initiated the dismissal of the former mayor of that municipality, Ibrahim Hadzibaiq (SDA).
Four days ago, Sarajevo Canton police arrested Seid Hadzibainjak, the son of the former mayor of the Stari Grad municipality, and two others were arrested in May last year under suspicion that they were involved in organised crime. A large quantity of money and jewelry and some luxury cars have been seized.
The event was supported by EUROOPOL, giving police in BiH communications deciphered over the Sky phone.
