Russia would have difficulty continuing its invasion in Ukraine without China's help, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said on Friday.
Blinken speaking in Beijing after talks with Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi said he had “repeated” serious concerns about ensuring China's components that “are strengthening Russia's brutal aggression fight against Ukraine”.
“Kina is the main supplier of machine tools, microelonics and nitrocellosis, which is essential to the production of ammunition and rocket drivers and other dual-use items Moscow is using to boost its industrial defence base,”, he said during a press conference.
That industrial base “is producing rockets, fears, tanks and other weapons President Putin is using to invade a sovereign country”, he added, writes Skynews.
These weapons are being used to destroy an electrical network and other civilian infrastructure and kill innocent children, women and men”, Blinken said.
“Russia would have difficulty continuing its attack on Ukraine without the support of China”.
In my meetings with NATO allies earlier this month and with our G7 partners just last week, I heard the same message: promoting the Russian industrial defence base not only threatens Ukraine's security, but threatens European security”.
“Pejkin cannot achieve better relations with Europe by supporting the biggest threat to European security since the end of the Cold War”.
“Sic have been telling China for some time, ensuring transatlantic security is an essential US interest”.
In our discussions today, I made it clear that if China doesn't deal with this problem, we'll treat”, American top diplomat Antony Blinken concluded.
