The Iranian Army's commander-in-chief said the blasts in the sky over the province of Isfahan concerned counterair systems that fired on what he called a suspicious object that caused no damage, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported.
“Experts are investigating this incident and will come up with notice on the issue after they receive the results” said Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, according to the IRNA report.
The commander general's statements coincided with a previous report by Iranian news agency Tasnim, which quoted the top military commander, the second general of the Mihadoust Brigade in Isfahan, as saying there were no <x0... damage or incident” after the explosion in the area, CNN writes.
The top commander also said the heard explosion was caused by “the air guard that fired on a suspicious target”.
