United States President Joe Biden said he believes Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is making “malpractice” in the way he is treating Gaza.
I think what he's doing is wrong. I disagree with his approach”, Beden said in an interview for the University television network in Spanish.
He said Gaza should have full access to all foods and medicines” in the next six to eight weeks.
Last week, Beden warned that continued US support for Israel's war would depend on how much it would allow for entry of aid and medicines.
Israel denies that it prevents access to aid within Gaza, saying it is UN agencies that have failed to distribute it.
Israel launched a campaign of attacks on Gaza-based enclaves with Palestinians after Hamas, a group declared terrorist by the US and other powers, attacked its territory last October, killing over 1,200 people and taking hundreds of others hostage.
Israeli authorities say that of the 130 hostages left in Gaza, at least 34 are dead.
The Gaza Health Ministry, led by Hamas, says over 33,000 Gaza residents have been killed since Israel has launched the offensive.
Much of the territory has been destroyed, and many of the inhabitants suffer hunger.
Biden said it's a disgusting “” about how vehicles of aid organisations “have been hit with fears”.
What I'm looking for is for the Israelis to call for ceasefire, allow within six to eight weeks complete access to all the foods and medicines that go to that place”, Biden said.
Earlier, Biden said Hamas should be hired for a pause and release of remaining hostages.
Israel has recently said it will open a crossing to northern Gaza and a deep water port to enable the flow of more aid to the area. But it is not yet clear when these will occur.
Beden is facing internal pressure because of Israel. During the past few weeks, he has exacerbated his rhetoric even toward Netanyah.
But military supplies, including bombs, rockets and ammunition, have continued to be sent from the US to Israel without interruption.
Israel has received more help from the United States than any other country since World War II.
The United States has traditionally defended Israel at the UN Security Council and vetoed three draft resolutions for the Gaza War.
Last month, the US has abstained when the Security Council has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. / REL
