BEC Statistics: Citizens received loans worth 241m euros during March, estimated about 70m euros

Thus the value of banking assets in March has reached 7.50 billion euros. Over five billion euros is total credit value. Meanwhile, over 6 billion euros is the value of consumer deposits.
“Seven billion and 500m euros are the assets of commercial banks in the Republic of Kosovo, until the amount of citizens' deposits amounts to 6.05 billion euros. Thus reported in commercial banks' statistics for March 2024, published by the Kosovo Central Bank (BQK), adding the value of gross loans has reached 5.09 billion euros with an increase of 132.0m euros. According to the report, capital went to commercial banks this month was 868.56m euros”, the report said.
In addition, the CEC shows that the value of new loans was 241.20m euros, until the amount of new deposits reached 69.70m euros.
Also, the average interest rate in deposits was 2.71%, while the average interest rate in credit was 6.24%, with 6.34% in the previous month. The loan-deposit report for this month was on the 84.70% level, while the interest rate margin on credit and deposit was 3.53%”, said in response.
