Six people who were in Saturday's noon at the Westfield Bondi Junction Centre east of Sydney to spend time or shop, lost their lives in the knife attack by a 40-year-old.
The author was then killed by the police.
Police and hospital services confirmed that the victims are five women and one man, while among them is a 38-year-old mother who was found wounded along with her 9-month-old baby.
Both the woman and the baby were stabbed by 40 years old, but she managed to give the baby two men who rushed to help.
The 38-year-old was sent to St Vincent Hospital, but failed to survive the wounds taken as the baby underwent an internal operation and is in serious condition for life.
This is the worst attack on Sydney since the fire at the Home of the Old Quakes Hill in 2011, in which 11 people died.
