Kosovo's pro-member vote on the Council of Europe by the Parliamentary Assembly has exasperated Serbia's approach to Albanians in the Valley, so states Presevo Mayor Shqirim Arifi.
Arifi, who has been sentenced by authorities there to deploy the flag on November 28th, is saying that whenever Kosovo has scored a success in its international journey, the Albanians and Valley have been the first victims.
I don't think it was coincidence. It's all planned. This decision is just one decision of those who have arrived in recent years. Serbia systematically continues to condemn us for setting the flag. But in the case of this decision that has come into my hand today, it is a decision that cannot otherwise be explained as to the ferocity these have shown in recent days knowing that Kosovo is successfully on its international journey. Each time Kosovo has had an international success, the Valley Albanians have been the first victims of”, he has indicated.
Furthermore, Arifi has said Serbia's 30-year-old mind has not changed and Albanians are constantly facing it.
“Three days ago, Serbian President Vuciq, who will arrest all those who violate Serbia's Constitution and normally the first to fall on the radar of this racist thought are Albanians of the Presevo Valley. It hasn't gone too far, and it's come to a decision that I've been sentenced by the Court for putting the flag on our 28 November national holidays. We are constantly working with one Serbia, which has not aimed at changing this thinking that it has been for 30 years. This is Serbia, with which we constantly face”, he has added.
The mayor of the Presevo municipality, Albania Arifi, has announced that he has accepted the 55,000 dinars sentence from the Court of Anti-Affliction in Vranje over the deployment of the national flag at the Bujanoc branch's Alternative Centre for Change, on the occasion of the 28 November Day of Flag Day. /tat1
