Former head of the Peja municipality and opposition AAK in this municipality Ali Berisha has asked the current mayor of the Peja municipality, Gazmend Mujarari, on tomorrow (April 30th) 2024), the day in which he will give the last goodbye to the late head of Peja and national activities Ali Lajci, to declare days of mourning at the municipality level, which Lajci led to the term 2001-2007.
It would be a human gesture but also very significant in respect, whether of the leader of the late Ali Lajci and Pec (in 2001-2007), whether for the vital, national, and patriotic role and contribution of his work. I believe that such an act, as binding morally, honors us! Ali Berisha describes himself.

I invite current Peja municipality mayor Gazmend Muharzier to announce a mourning day in the Pec municipality.
It would be a human gesture but also very significant in respect, whether of the leader of the late Ali Lajci and Peja (in 2001-2007), both for the vital, national and patriotic role and contribution of his work. I believe that such an act, as binding morally, honors us! He wrote Ali Berisha.
Otherwise, Ali Berisha had won Peja Ali Lajci in the 2007/2008 local elections, in the race between LDK and (Ali Lajci) and AAK with (Ali Berisha).
Over the years, local political rivals would be reunited with Ali Lajci's accession to the AAK, with the cases Berisha would also offer the position of the head of the Peja municipality.
In response to the case of Lajci's death, Berisha named it the highest patriotic and national chapters.
Former Peja Mayor Ali Berisha's request, so far, has not received answers from current head Gazmend Muharzier. Reaction in support of this request has not yet been granted by Peja's Vetevendosje, the subject of which the late Lajci joined in recent years.
For Ali Lajci's death, Peja's Movement, and its head, Taulant Kelmendi, as well as head of Pejamen Gazmend Muharni, reacted with telegrams of condolences last night.
