Against which only MP Agron Shehuaj has voted, while MP Ermonela Feliaj abstained.
At today's session, Chief Prime Minister Linddita Nikola suggested that amendments have been submitted to this bill by the two democratic deputies Gazment White and Enkeleed Alibeaj.
The Assembly in Albania also approved the White Journal amendment for administration by 111 votes, 3 against and 1 abstention. In this amendment it has been required to include convicted DP protesters under investigation or prosecuted until March 31st, 2024.
Enkeleed Alibeaj's amendment was not adopted, it received 8 votes, 72 against, 2 abstentions.
Once the law is published in the Official Library, the Criminal Amnesty will grant freedom to 700 convicts. This law benefits 1100 convicts and detainees, with more than 700 convicts taking advantage of a reduction of 1.5 to 2 years in prison.
Criminal amnesty is one of the most controversial issues, it has been deposited in the Assembly since December 2023, but the instability between the parties prompted the draft vote to be postponed for 3 months.
Justice Minister Ulyssie Manja said in his address to the Parliament that opposition protesters will benefit from amnesty as well, while stressing that they do not benefit people sentenced to life in prison, sentenced by the RCKKO and accused of running. /euronews. al
