An accident with eight victims in Gjirokastra: Two arrested, three of seven immigrants identified

Gjirokastra police have arrested two people, as well as reported in search of a third, in connection with the serious accident on the Kickere-Fërmet axis, where eight people lost their lives.
The detained persons allegedly co-operated with the driver of the vehicle for transportation towards Shkodra, against the payment, of 7 migrants aimed at illegally crossing the Albanian border.
The following actions in this case identified the 3 citizens involved in this criminal activity: A. G., 24, and R. D., 23, both residents in Shkodra, who were put in handcuffs in co-operation with DVP Shkoder” services, it is said in the Albanian police report.
While in search, a 23-year-old, with initial S. N., who is suspected to be organising this criminal activity.
On the other hand, it's always been suggested that 3 of the 7 immigrants who are originally from Pakistan have been identified.
There is also work on identifying four other immigrants who lost their lives in the accident.
The procedure materials were passed to the Prosecutor at the Court of First Court of General Jurydiction for further action.
” As a result of the investigative actions committed to clarifying the circumstances of the accident that occurred yesterday, in a road axis “Klashtret-Fërmes”, as a result of which eight citizens lost their lives, as well as based and information provided by police intelligence, in the framework of a pro-active investigation into whiteling the trafficking line of migrants, it is documented that the 7 citizens from the Third Countries who lost their lives were being transported by the driver of this vehicle from the Greek border to Shkodra, against the illegal passage of the border. From these actions, carried out by the structures of DVP Gjirokastra, in co-operation with the Traffic Sector at the Criminal Police Department in DPSH and with DVP Shkodra structures, in the direction of Gjirokastra Prosecutor, allegedly the driver of the vehicle, citizen E. B., was co-operating with 3 other citizens, for the transport of 7 immigrants from Pakistan, aged 28-32, 3 of whom have been identified”, the Albanian police report to Gjirokastra said.
