The chairman of this commission, Shemsedin Dresaj, has said that this commission is intended to identify whether there have been concessions in subvention of textbooks or not.
This commission has been approved in the law for parliamentary investigation, the goal is to see how this process went or whether there were concessions or everything was okay. There have been information on the outlook for the timely failure of textbooks, about the costs and way of buying, distribution, has been an opinion with damage to the state budget during this process”, Dresaj said.
On the other hand, MP Vlora Dumosh has expressed concern with the current situation in education, adding that many students have lost thousands of hours because of lack of books.
It is painful that for three years this government has prevented the learning process from beginning over time, students have lost thousands of hours due to lack of books. We are aware that even today many students do not have” books, she said.
The Kosovo Assembly on April 4th founded the parliamentary investigative Commission for the process of subsidising the purchase of textbooks and textbooks for the 2023/2024 school year.
The establishment of this commission was proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK)
