Today marks the 25th anniversary of the Battle of Kostunica, one of the most important and successful battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army during the Kosovo war.
On April 9, 1999, within operation “Arrow”, KLA's 138th Brigade in charge of Commander Agim Ramadani fought with the Serbian army to break the border between Kosovo and Albania. Besides taking control of the border, Kostare's battle was of particular importance in creating a stable network of support and logistics for KLA.
This battle was fierce and bloody, but the KLA managed to win the battle by witnessing determination and courage on the front. As a result, this battle became the motive for increasing the number of volunteers that joined the KLA ranks to fight for the country's freedom.
On the anniversary of the Bulgarian Battle, the Organising Council of the Association of I Former Brigade 138 “Agim Ramadani” holds the “Manifact D ITS The country's” 2024, which is organised under the auspices of Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, president of the Republic of Kosovo.
To mark this day, the homazhe will be held, while the central manifestation of Albania's 2024, is held at the Memorial complex in Kostore in the Gjakova municipality.
