The Kosovo Constitutional Court has reportedly confirmed the verdicts of other courts by urging the ZRE to compensate Kosovo citizens for the amount of 40m euros.
According to KMDLNj, the ZRE has illegally stolen between 2012 and 2017 to pay the electricity to the citizens of four municipalities in northern Kosovo who have never paid the current since the end of the war until today.
“ZRREE has accepted this decision but that it has not been declared for the way of compensation. At first, it was 100 million stolen and this extortion regulator's alchemy reduced to 40 million. The current Kosovo government for this decision has chosen the language of silent fish, though it has not failed to criticise other decisions”.
After the investigation, KMDLNj thinks this figure will rise much higher. With a government that is an ally of the ZRE, with an inactive prosecutor, with an exhausted opposition and burdened with sins from the past on the matter of theft through inflated bills, Kosovo's citizens will not be harmed for the damage done to them, and they are being made by this criminalised regulator and clothed with political support, but this wrongdoing will continue in the future too, said the report.
