After 10:20 a.m. in the hospital emergency, three citizens with gunshot injuries have been reported, of which two have injuries at the lower extremes of the body, following the medical treatment they received at the Emergency were hospitalised in the Orthopedic Department, their condition has stabilised.
While the third person has injuries in the Lumbal region (backside) region has been needed surgical intervention, it is currently the operating room.
The medical staff is continuing the proper treatment and care.
Sheremet Elezaj, Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Gjakova region, has said Sunday morning that the shooting suspect is on the run.
“Today around 00:10 p.m., we've received information about shooting guns at a bar on the “Feline Noli” in Gjakova, where three people (major men) have suffered injuries allegedly caused by firearms. Police have immediately responded to the case and the victims were offered medical treatment, from first accepted information, their health situation is stable. Currently, we are conducting the necessary investigative procedures in the direction of the case dawning and apprehending the suspect. In consultation with the state prosecutor the case has been initiated “attempted genocide” and “ownership, non-authorised possession of weapons”, Elesaj said.
