Vuciq taunts the Council of Europe: Organisations that decide for nothing if Kosovo is probably accepted we come out of it

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq, in an interview with Serbian media last night, has said Serbia could leave the Council of Europe if Kosovo is accepted.

A possibility is to leave the Council of Europe. Kosovo's entry into that organisation would be de facto the expulsion of Serbia” Vuciq has said.

The “will be very, very unpleasant when (internationals) hear all the details of how they lied to Serbia about the Council of Europe and all other stories. Do so, and then we will see whether Serbia wants to stay on the Council of Europe or not. So, let's see, maybe you like to have Pristina on the Council of Europe more than Belgrade and Serbia”, Vuciq said. He said he would not reveal to the end what their action will be.

Serbia's president downplayed the role of the KiE, saying it is an organisation that decides nothing.

Also recalling that Russia was excluded from the Council of Europe before Kosovo's application is introduced in a daily order, he reiterated that Kosovo's membership means Serbia's de facto expulsion from that organisation.
