The commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General Ozkan Ulutash, has met today chief of the Office for the Council of Europe Mary Ann Hennessey.
They exchanged opinions on a series of topics, including KFOR activities under its mandate at the UN, its co-operation with the EU's mission for the Rule of Law (EULEX) and continued security efforts in support of EU-launched dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999 to provide a secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially.
KFOR reiterated that it is the third security reacter, behind the Kosovo Police and EULEX, with which we work in close co-ordination, respectively.
