New tickets in traffic, for phone use up to 500 euros

The lieutenant colonel and director of the Road Traffic Division, Jeton Rexhepi, has spoken of the new Law on Rules in Trafik, where it revealed that the value of several fines has undergone drastic growth.

One of them is that of using the phone, where he said that for this violation in traffic, the fine could amount to up to 500 euros and stop driving up to six months.

The phone is also an even greater escalation than the other perpetrators, which means that if the driver comes across using the phone in traffic, the first time he'll be fined 100 euros and a negative point. If faced for the second time, in addition to the 200-euro fine, there is a ban on the direction of the vehicle and negative score”.

“Each time he meets more than twice within two years using the phone, he will have a fine of 500 euros, a ban on driving up to 6 months and three negative times”, he said in Klan Kosova.

Rexhepi also spoke of traffickers in traffic who do not wear the seat belt, where he said not to settle it -- whether for the driver or passenger -- the fine is 150 euros.

If we're participants in road traffic, every driver or passenger, it's primarily about the seat belt. And don't set a seat belt either for the driver or passengers, the fine is 150 euros”, he said.
