Tahiri: The Kurti Sée government used Beden's letter to focus on mutual recognition

Kosovo's former chief negotiator in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Edita Tahiri, has made a comparison of this process with the period it was at the helm of dialogue. In an interview for EO, Tahiri says the government has failed in dialogue, while calling the process “dead”. Tahiri has declared that Kurti Government failed to exploit the president's letter [...]
Tahiri has declared that Kurti Government failed to use American President Joe Biden's letter, which called for mutual recognition. He says the agreement can be reached without mutual recognition and formation of association.
“We all know that dialogue or negotiations with Serbia have had in certain phases, at the Rambouillet conference before that we have won freedom and peace. I mean, this current government has failed in dialogue. They had President Biden's letter in hand that clearly stressed that dialogue should focus on mutual recognition between the two states, but Kurt failed that letter, failed historically. Kosovo issued an agreement that contains mutual recognition plus was unable to counter the Association, and even though it won 50 per cent on the opposition to association now accepted without reding”, Tahiri says.
Speaking of dialogue with Serbia, the former chief negotiator says Serbia has escaped unpunished for the attack on Banjska thanks to the failure of Kosovo institutions. Critics faten the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“These days gave land to the Monastery (Decan) and other failures, while in general for dialogue I can say it's dead because it didn't have results. This dialogue in this period, rather than bringing stability and peace, brings tensions, comes to the situation when Serbia committed aggression in Banjsk and Serbia remained unpunished and Kosovo is punished, and today it's punished, it's about inferior governments, but also the inferior foreign minister that failed to prevent Kosovo from taking away Serbia's sanctions being put here today” said Tahiri.
And the positive image according to Tahiri, Kosovo was in dialogue during the time when it led it through this process. He says they have managed to extend sovereignty throughout Kosovo's entire territory, including the north.
“Where I was the chief negotiator there and Kosovo came up with a positive image that Kosovo had a wife, so Serbia's chief negotiator as well as the post-resident delegation, and I had my advisers, I mean that dialogue where I was for those seven years we managed to extend Kosovo's sovereignty to the north of Kosovo, we have broken out parallel Serb structures, agreement that have removed Kosovo and the Serb barriers, and first the border location in the north because the border points were burned when we started dialogue in 2011 because Serbia wants to respond to Kosovo's declaration of independence,<>
