AAK Parliamentary Group chief Besnik Tahiri says the situation with small economies in Kosovo is alarming. He says hundreds of small businesses, including shops, businesses, cafes and restaurants, are being closed due to lack of consumption.
According to Tahiri, in the first quarter of 2017, purchasing power in Kosovo has dropped from 15 to 50 % and the closure of businesses will affect increasing unemployment and poverty.
AAK MP says that in a normal society, the economy is the main pillar of functioning of society, and says the Kurti Government is banking Kosovo with rhetoric and open conflict with internationals.

Kosovo is experiencing an economic shock because of the “recovery” of businesses. Hundreds of small businesses around Kosovo, including shops, small retail businesses, coffee shops, restaurants are being closed due to consumption shortages.
The first quarter of 2024 information about the circulation of businesses operating in Kosovo is alarming. The purchasing power has dropped from 15% to 50%. With businesses closed down, we will go towards increasing unemployment in Kosovo that affects poverty growth and lowering the level of living for citizens.
