“Suspicion for child smuggling”, VV's pathist candidate who was arrested in Bulgaria is expected to be extradited to Italy

Justice continues to face Gjakova's chief chief of waterwork, Hasan Krasniqi, who was arrested in Bulgaria on February 19th at Interpol's request.

Yesterday, he appeared in front of Bulgarian authorities, while within 10 days he is expected to be extradited to Italy.

According to his lawyer, there is no charge of “smuggling of minors”, but it's about migration favour.

Hasan Krasniqi currently holds the position of head of the KRU “Gjakova”, while also being Vetevendosje candidate for Asamblist.

He went to court yesterday, in front of Bulgarian authorities.

Confirmed that for RTK Krasniqi's defence lawyer, Tritan Hamitaj.

The session is held and expected under the Bulgarian state procedure, a three-day deadline must be expected so that his consent he has given to Italy with hasty procedures, and after three days Bulgarian authorities will contact the Italian authorities to execute simplified extraction, so that Mr Krasniqi can appear before Italian authorities”, Hamitaj has said.

According to Hamitaj, there is no charge of “smuggling of minors”, but it's about migration favour. According to him, Krasniqi has no direct connection to the event for which he is being accused by the Italian state.

“It is migration favour, and not smuggling with minors, results in some athletes not returning to Kosovo anymore, taking asylum from their minor age”, he has said.

Mr. Krasniqi has no knowledge that these athletes have not returned to Kosovo, nor how the visas are received, he has only offered transportation, in fact being partners in this transport company, he is part of all this”, the lawyer added.

CRU chief head “Gjakova”, Hasan Krasniqi, allegedly smuggled into minors, as shareholders at a transport company, sending athletes to the Italian state. The same suspects that when they entered Italy in 2022, they have not returned to Kosovo.

Hamitaj adds that after the investigation, Italian authorities have estimated that Krasniqi must explain the circumstances of contracting transportation vehicles from sports clubs and his role in knowledge or not of irregularities in obtaining visas.
