Kosovo police have announced that during Tuesday's north of Mitrovica, they have initiated two separate cases linked to smuggling and illegal border crossings.
According to the police report, the first case occurred on March 19th around 18:50, while the police unit has been carrying out routine patrols, have stopped a car with foreign license plates, which the suspect M.V.V.93 was leading.
Kosovo's “Police had preliminary information on this vehicle, as suspected of illegal smuggling activities with goods and while checking the car, found smuggled goods; tools of labour and various colors, for which the document on” was not witnessed, the report said.

The smuggling vehicle has been sent to the Customs Terminal in Mitrovica for further procedures, while police actions related to illegal border crossings have been undertaken against drivers.
And the next case occurred the same day around 19:50, from the police unit through security cameras, a vehicle has been spotted illegally entering from Serbia's territory into the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
“Police units have immediately taken the necessary actions to stop the car The black BMW with foreign license plates which the driver A.H.H. (2002) led by Serbian citizens. Car and person are sent to the police station for the usual procedures that are implemented in these cases”, the report says.
Kosovo police have added that it remains committed to carrying out police duties, in particular preventing goods smuggling and effective management of the state border. /
