Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) is entering a crucial phase in its population registration process, following the successful training of over 700 monitors last week.
The future training of over three thousand censusors in all Kosovo municipalities marks another important step towards final preparations for the start of the Population census, which begins on 5 April of this year.
During a recent meeting, this weekend, the KSF's necessary staff has committed themselves to this phase willingly and co-ordination between them to obtain key directives for future activities, the agency has announced.
“The ASS is entering a critical phase of the population registration process and it is necessary, that all be prepared and well organised. Successful training of supervisors was just the beginning; now we have to make sure that our recorders are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to carry out their duties effectively”, the ASS wrote.
As part of the preparations, ASC officials have been assigned specific roles and responsibilities, including the distribution of recorders to specific halls in municipalities, logistics plan, preparation for testing tasks, the appointment of the Registers Areas (ZR) and a series of other important activities.
Co-operative efforts of the AK teams reflect commitment to accuracy, transparency and efficiency in conducting the census in Kosovo.
