Prime Minister Albin Kurti has been asked how he would react if he were in opposition and if another government would order the Cadastral Agency to register the Decani Monastery property.
Asked if he would react by organising protests, Kurt has responded by saying he has exhausted all his energy, time and nerves he has had to think like an opposition, Express reports.
“I don't have time to think about the opposition. Let the opposition think. I'm thinking as prime minister, because for more than two decades, I've been thinking as an opposition. I believe that all the energy, time and nerves I've had to think of as opposition, I've run out of”, Kurti declared for Radio Free Europe.
The government's first one has added that it takes the opposition seriously, but in the sense of controversy, he believes it is the prime minister who has at least faced opposition from all other prime ministers.
“I constantly understand them because I hear what they say, I take them seriously and sincerely, but it must be acknowledged that, in the sense of controversy, I am the prime minister who has at least faced opposition, since Kosovo has prime minister”, Kurti has added.
Kurti has added to consider the issue urgently of the Decani Monastery were it not to capture the unique “trast in this spring for Kosovo to succeed in the process of membership in the Council of Europe.
“First, I disagree with the Constitutional Court Act. In my sound mind, the critical reason... I've never understood how the Decani Monastery becomes a party addressing cases in the Constitutional Court, but many other issues. But look, we have to do our best and good with a bad and bad heritage, which is far from minimal. And we're doing this”
We couldn't consider this an emergency. We have a unique opportunity this spring to have seats next to other Council of Europe member states, because all indicators of prestigious organisations for the basic values of the Council of Europe, we fully satisfy both rule of law and human rights and democracy. There are partial fulfillments, but they are not even complements of member states”, Kurti stated.
