PROFIL - This is Bedri Hamza's political career

This officialisation of Hamza comes after Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statements whenever the opposition P AAK is ready for elections, they can be held.
The largest opposition party decided to run for prime minister Bedri Hamza after an internal survey that had made this party and where Hamza came out the most favoured candidate for prime minister.

That's what they said.

Currently the largest opposition PDK party is now known to whom it will run for the first government, while the Democratic League of Kosovo, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, have not yet decided on the name of which of these two political subjects will run for prime minister whenever elections can be held in Kosovo.

From the Vetevendosje Movement, no doubt the candidate will be current Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Kosovo's prime minister is insisting that I will not resign, but there are choices in how to move to early elections by making votes together with the opposition to the distribution of the Assembly.

The three opposition parties are not agreeing to this, saying there should be no no no-confidence motion against the government, Kurti, and then go with the dissolution of the Parliament.

The AAK has already launched the initiative to collect signatures, but before they are delivered to the session, they have requested parliamentary debate in the Kosovo Assembly, as they have said three years of failure to govern Kurti and then to proceed with the motion of impeaching Kurti and distributing the Parliament.

The ruling Vetevendosje Movement party has said it will not support whatever the opposition party starts with this AAK case.

It is still not known which model will be used for the country to go to early elections.

Who's Bedr Hamza?

Bedri Hamza currently chairman of the municipality of Mitrovica has been the minister of the Kosovo government.

He has been the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kosovo on two occasions, serving three mandates in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, has been governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo from 2013 to 2017.

Minister of Finance (first time: 2011 13)

Coalition PDKıLDK was disbanded in late 2010, and new elections were held at the end of 2010. Hamza was again included in the PDK election list and finished 1 1 1 1st among party candidates. The PDK won thirty-four seats and was elected to the Assembly.

Kosovo Central Bank Governor (2013)

Bedri Hamza was appointed governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo on March 14, 2013. His appointment was controversial, opposition parties argued that the appointment of a leading PDK official in that role was an attack on the bank's independence. However, he served in that position for the next four years.

Minister of Finance (second time: 2017)

Hamza resigned as governor of the central bank on September 13, 2017 to return to the finance minister's office.

Bedri Hamza was born in the village of the upper Kline of the Skenderaj municipality.

He graduated from the University of Pristina Economics Faculty in 1987 and later received master degree in the post-1999 institution with the theme “Problems for improving the fiscal system of the Republic of Kosovo”.

He has conducted doctorate studies at the University of Tirana in Albania.
