The Finance Ministry has announced that following approval by the Committee for Private Partnerships, the amendment to the concession agreement for Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari” has been signed, which envisions compensation for the period of pandemic as a major force.
“Based on provisions of the basic concession agreement, Committee for The PPP has known the period of 20 months as a period of pandemic during which the airport has operated on interruptions or restrictions, and for which period the basic agreement envisions extending the deadline proportionally at the end of the concession period in cases when dealing with major force”, the report says.
The report reportedly says that for the period to be repaid, the concession fee that benefits the Republic of Kosovo will be 55%, which represents substantial growth compared to the previous percentage during the 2020 and 2021 period, which was 34%, respectively, 37%.
This is also reflected in the signed amendment that makes the implementation of these core agreement provisions and the legal framework in force”, says the statement.
