But, the ministry still does not know what work Krasniqi has been arrested for. Such information says it has not been received by Bulgarian authorities.
“MPJD was not reported by Bulgarian authorities on the nature of the work, but only that the same was banned since it was sought by Interpol Italy. From the information we possess the Bulgarian Court does not deal with the work, but only with the extradition procedure”, the MPJD's responses are reported.
According to media reports, Krasniqi has been arrested on the basis of an international arrest warrant issued by Italian police for allegedly trafficking in human beings.
The allegations are that Krasniqi, who also owns a bus transport company from Gjakova to European countries, has smuggled people through it with counterfeit documents. Consequently, according to Italian authorities, 57-year-old Gjakova is involved in three different criminal acts.
Always according to reports, Italy's arrest warrant against Krasniqi had issued it on 16 January 2024.
