On the eve of the 25th anniversary of NATO's intervention in the liberation of Kosovo from the genocide Serbian march against our people, I am extremely honored to have accepted this letter from US President Joe Biden, a friend and historical supporter of our right cause for freedom and independence.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Listening to passionate people like you inspires me and gives me the satisfaction of answering,” writes the President in his letter. I've never been more optimistic about America's future... We can turn the crisis into opportunities, and I believe America is better positioned than any other country in the world to lead us in the 21st century...” writes, among other things, President Biden.
His letter came in response to my early 2024 letter through which I had expressed my heartfelt gratitude to President Biden under whose leadership (then as Senator) with his colleague and friend Republican (now the most felt) McCain (also a major supporter of ours), the US had made the decision to lead NATO's bomb campaign against Serbia. In my letter, I also stated Kosovo's subliminal interest, in line with American geopolitical interests in the region, for NATO membership.
Our unique partnership with the US is fundamental to our future as state and nation, as if it was the cornerstone of Kosovo's freedom and independence.
Instead of a third letter, I hope with President Beden we have a handshake, again, soon!
Kosovo still needs the United States! So, our work continues...
