Serbia's chief negotiator, Petar Petkovic, after meeting with Kosovo's chief negotiator, Besnik Bislimi and the Special Essar of the European Union (BE) for the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, has accused the Kosovo side of not ready to find a solution to the dinar issue.
We've had direct talks with the disruptive side, we've submitted our proposal. Our proposal is balanced, taking into account the interests of the Serbian people in Kosovo”, he said before reporters.
“I don't know which direction the dialogue will go. I am concerned about the position and future of the Serb people in Kosovo, and when you see that there is no political will on the other hand to reach a” solution, he underlined.
However, Petkov stressed that Serbia will continue to negotiate to preserve the peace and the Serbian people in Kosovo, which according to him “is violating human rights”.
These proposals have been discussed for more than three and a half hours in direct talks with Pristina. Then there have been talks on the level of bilateral meetings with the EU, and the agreement is to continue talks on April 4th in Brussels”, he added.
He argued that the other side “does not want to compromise” and that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti will continue to persecute the Serbian people”.
“Anyway, we are committed to dialogue and will do everything to reach a solution with our experts to try to continue the work of the Serbian Post Savings Bank in Kosovo and that our people can get salaries and pensions from Serbia. That's the core of our proposal”, Petkovic underlined.
