Kosovo's institutional leaders have pledged to respect all provisions of the Brussels and Ohrid Agreements, which include the establishment of the Serb Majority Commission Association.
President Vjosa Osmani, Chief Parliamentary Glauk Konjufa and Prime Minister Albin Kurti have sent a reporting letter to Kosovo to the Council of Europe, Dora Bakoyannis, where they have pledged to implement all measures required for Kosovo after it becomes part of the Council of Europe.
In the letter the leaders have sent it, it is said that Kosovo will faithfully respect the list of commitments shown in the appendix they have attached to the letter.
This appendix mentions the establishment of association as soon as possible.
“Ensure efficient implementation of legal framework for the protection of national minorities; Let's take substantial and tangible steps with the aim of implementing all provisions of the Brussels and Ohrid Accords, which include establishing the Association of Serb majority municipalities as soon as possible; We urgently address the lack of a comprehensive and co-ordinated approach to minority issues and rights. Such an approach should be developed and implemented in collaboration with those involved and in ways that reflect the specific needs of different communities.”, said in appendix, provided by National.
