At a news conference with the president, Vjosa Osmani, McKee also talked about Kosovo- Serbia, which has said is the only way forward for integration into Euro-Atlantic structures, and that USAID support will remain steadfast for Kosovo.
“Even though we can face dispute or challenges with specific governments, our commitment to the people of Kosovo remains steadfast and sustainable”, she has said.
The future of Kosovo is within Europe. Secretary Blinken recently reiterated that the EU facilitated dialogue is fair and the only way forward for Kosovo to advance its integration with European and Euro-Atlantic institutions. As we've done in the last 25 years, USAID will remain steadfast in partnership with Kosovo to ensure that the moment towards this future is not shaken, but to accelerate and eventually to continue”, McKee has declared.
She stressed that W US is committed to continuing working with Kosovo in reforms needed to minimise opportunities for corruption, strengthen Kosovo's democratic institutions and invest in future generation equipment.
“Giving priority to the needs of all citizens and ensuring a strong and independent judiciary, we contribute to the development and delivery of fair and impartial judicial services, which is critical, rule of law is vital, not just for a developing democracy, but to provide security for investors, for citizens, for those who know that their future is here in Kosovo and not anywhere else, McKee writes.
She has stressed that she is satisfied with Kosovo's progress and that the country is making great progress in creating economic opportunities for all communities, especially women and entrepreneurs and minorities.
Kosovo is making great progress in creating economic opportunities for all communities, especially for women and entrepreneurs and minorities. USAID is committed to building the necessary skills to exploit their entrepreneurial spirit to become the leader of Kosovo's private sector and to advancing the potential to unblock that prosperity that we know Kosovo should offer not only Kosovo itself but the entire region, and frankly, throughout Europe”, McKee has declared.
