Murati: Kurt won't make fun of us, if it's against Association there's another option

The chairman of the Movement for the Union, Valon Murati, has said that if anyone opposes the establishment of the Serb majority municipalities' Association, there should be another option at the negotiating table.

If you are opposed to establishing the Serb majority municipalities' association, you should have other options at the negotiating table, the chairman of the Movement for the Union, Valon Murati, has declared.

Murati says that if the other option harms Kosovo's interests, you can withdraw from those positions.

I said I'm against Association, but, you have to be honest, if you're against having another option from the start you put on the negotiating table you want to be resolved by another principle. Or if the pressure is as high as it can harm Kosovo, you can also step down, as there is no moment when you withdraw from a project considered harmful”, the Murati said on TV Dukaagjini.

Murati, reflecting that it is against Association, has added that popular policies have placed Kosovo in an unfavourable position.

He has said the prime minister, Albin Kurti, should not mock us, saying dialogue is his sixth or seventh priority.

I'm against association and I think it would be problematic for the state of Kosovo, for its consolidation and functionality, but the question is that with this kind of politicians at the top and in general we had on the political scene. When you don't have other options, when you're not active, despite a long time ago the international community has asked us what your options are, they'll be back to the options you signed.

And they'll say, "Look, we had other options we had redefining borders and other possibilities you refused, but you have been under obligation since 2013. And we put these policies in a very difficult position when you just put pressure on them.
