In just two months, the Toral Surgery Clinic performed 76 operations

For just two months, the Toracal Surgery Clinic has managed to conduct 76 operations, which now operates with only one operating hall. This clinic has a small, large hall split.

He has made it known about Online Economics, the director of this clinic, Nazmi Kolgeci. He has stated that only in the small hall that conducts short anesthesia operations have 90 operations conducted, while in the large, 76.

The cause of complications and difficulties of operations in Toraque has led to so small numbers of operations. Says there were days when an operation lasted all day.

We are now only in early 2017, and during these two months 76 operations have been conducted in the large hall, there have also been carried out in the small hall 90 surgical operations with a February anesthetic. Torakal surgery usually carries out hours of surgery, and that's understandable because the number of operations we said 76 is because we have only one operating room and these operations last very often we have one day going on with only one operation, so the number 76 is not too small for Thracian surgery but it's quite significant”, says Kolgeci, as a major challenge sees the lack of anesthesiologists.

It's not only the last years that the pot has reflected the lack of anesthesiologists in surgery because the number of anesthesiologists, according to statistics, is not enough what we currently have at QKUKU, so even the lack of anesthesiologists has caused problems and often cannot be realized. Anesthesiologists have always been problematic because the number of anesthesiologists is small, and this is reflected in the work of surgeons”, Kolgeci said.

He has also talked about renovations being conducted in this clinic, which he hopes will soon be done with the second operating hall.

The subx0> right now is becoming a renovation of the halls that we've had with the operators in the big room, but now we have the renovations of the second room that would completely cut the number of waiting operations in Thracian surgery. So far we're the only clinical center that refers to patients in our breast clinic and we've had only one operating room now we're waiting for the second room of the operator that has to greatly ease the number of patients waiting for surgery”, Kolgeci says.
And he views the waiting list as normal because the same ones say they exist worldwide. As for the number of doctors, it stresses that they have enough and similar to the countries in the region.

Absolutely, because by now we've been working under very poor conditions that haven't been favourable to us as doctors, in fact, they haven't been much fun for us, but with these investments that have to be done I believe it would be a completely different bandage in Thracian surgery. We have sufficient numbers of doctors for the Republic of Kosovo we are 12 doctors and 3 specialists who have the same number that countries in the region have”, Kolgeci said.
