Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia has said that in the latest Security Council meeting in Serbia, in addition to permanent members, Nenad Zonic, commander of the 63th Brigade of Parachutists, attended; Miroslav Talian, Commander of the 72nd Brigade Special Operations; Tioslav Jankovic, Chief of Operations Directorate (J-3); Dusko Zarkovic Air Force Commander; and Milosav Simovic, Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Serbia (FAS).
“in the recent meeting of Serbia's Security Council, which has been called urgently by Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq, in addition to permanent members, has also attended Nenad Zonic, Commander of the 63th Brigade of Paracuttists; Miroslav Talian, Commander of the 72nd Brigade Special Operations; Tioslav Jankovic, Chief of Operations Directorate (J-3); Dusko Zarkovic Air Force Commander; and Milosav Simovic, Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Serbia (FAS). ”
Macedonia has said this meeting has been called by Vuciq two days after Prime Minister Kurti denounced the provocations of FAS specialised units near the border with Kosovo, and a day after US Assistant Secretary James O'Brien said they are monitoring the Serb Army's movements close to the border with Kosovo and that the use of force would be unacceptable.
“This meeting has been called urgently by Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq, just two days after the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo publicly denounced the provocations of specialised FAS units close to the border with Kosovo, and one day after US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia James OʹBrien has made it clear to Serbia that they are monitoring the movements of the Serbian Army near the border with Kosovo and that the use of force would be unacceptable. ”
The minister has considered the composition of the council to be disturbing. He says that the commander of two brigades allegedly carried out the preparation and training of members of the organisation “Civil Protection/ North Brigade”, who later participated in the attack on Banjska.
Serbia's “President Aleksandar Vuciq has used as the pretext of calling this meeting, the terrorist attack in Moscow, but what's worrying about the composition of this Council is the presence of the 63th Army Commander of Parashuas and Brigade 72 of Special Operations, military formations that have allegedly carried out the preparation and training of hundreds of members of the terrorist organisation “Civil/Brigard of the North neitherx2>, who later participated in the terrorist attack on September 24th, in the village of Bankats. ”
