The land of the monastery ʹ Kurti today ordered to implement what it called Milosevic's decision

Kurti in a long interview given to Kosovo Public Television on February 17th 2022 has spoken of this decision, which today said the Katadastrale Agency of Kosovo has demanded nag to implement the constitutional decision with which the Decani Monastery will pass under 24 acres of land management around the area.

I understand that the Decani Monastery should have a space, I understand that they need the quietness of the environment, the help of the RKS government, but we have the usual reserve for Milosevic's decisions and regimes, which for my obedience are accepted by the Constitutional Court, which has treated a subject without going into ordinary stages. With what we don't want to dominate, but at the same time I believe we must meet in their understanding, that the decisions of the Milosevic regime cannot live in our”, he said.

But a year and a few days later, the same prime minister today ordered during the government's gathering that the 24 hectare of land toʹi belong to the Decani monastery.

Kurt made that decision just on the day that the special envoy of the United States, Gabriel Escobar, is standing in Kosovo

Kurti announced he has told Kosovo's Cadastral Agency to implement the Constitutional Court's decision regarding land around the Decani Monastery.

Despite this to achieve a much larger goal that we owe to the state that opens unprecedented opportunities we must take a step forward with caution and responsibility as an independent and sovereign state. So, today we have told Kosovo's Cadastral Agency to implement the Constitutional Court” ruling, Kurti has declared at the Government meeting.

Otherwise, the QUINT countries now and several years are hopeful that the Constitutional Court's decision in the case of the Decani Monastery is not being respected, and they regularly call on Kosovo authorities to allow the monastery to register land in the cadastra.

Local authorities in Decan refuse to implement the Constitutional Court's decision to allow the Decani Monastery to register 24 hectares of land and forest on cadastre because they think this property is of social companies “Apico” and <x2Liliria” and that it has never met the monastery.

In September 2021, Kosovo's Constitutional Court has issued a “decision against the non-execution of the judgments”, in which it claims its 2016 ruling has not been implemented.

Kosovo's Constitutional Court of Peja, in June 2022, has launched investigations against the Decani municipality because of its failure to comply with the Constitutional Court's decision.
