Lajcak announced that they have discussed advancing the implementation of the Road to Normalisation Agreement, as well as the impact of Kosovo's recent Central Bank decision.
“What a busy start of the week in Brussels! Yesterday, I waited for the two chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia to discuss how to advance implementation of the Road to Normalisation Agreement, as well as other issues dealing with Dialogue, including the impact of Kosovo Central Bank's recent decision on cash operations against Kosovo Serbs and other communities”.
“It was important to prove some facts, and we agreed to continue our discussion on this issue next Monday in Brussels, given concrete and realistic proposals that the Pauls are expected to present in advance. At the same time, the meeting also indicated that implementation of the Agreement on the road to normalisation and additional ways to formalise it would have to be addressed at a meeting of leaders under the auspices of Dialogue”, Lajcak said.
He also provided details of last week's meeting in Pristina and Belgrade.
The past “week completed my intensive preparations in Belgrade, where I traveled to meet with Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq and chief negotiator Petar Petkoviq. Our discussions focused on urgent issues on the agenda of Dialogue, including implementation of the Agreement on the road to normalisation, the Kosovo Central Bank regulation and local elections in the majority Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo”.
This meeting served as a continuation of my discussions last week with Kosovo's first Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, pending today's meeting at the level of chief negotiators. In both meetings, I underlined the need to implement the Agreement without delay and addressed urgent issues affecting Dialogue”, it wrote on .
EU Emisari said that, in accordance with the good tradition of engagement with younger generations, he has also participated in a moderate lecture at Matey Bell University in Banská Bystrica, to talk about the EEAS job and the upcoming European elections.
“is essential to communicate about these topics to increase the public's understanding of the EU's important role and influence in their lives”, he concluded.
