Through a media conference, Imeraj has said that today is a day of mourning for Kosovo, honouring this decision calls it a serious attack on legal and constitutional order.
“Today is a day of mourning for Kosovo. We are surprised and very concerned with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti's decision, which has called for the Kosovo Cadastral Agency to implement the Constitutional Court's decision on 24 hectares of land near the Decani monastery. Implementation of the court's decision is the largest attack to have been made on the Republic of Kosovo's judicial and constitutional order since the entry into force of the 2008 Kosovo Constitution”, Imeraj said at a news conference.
He then said they have sought the help of lawyers, for the subject to be sent to the Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
The implementation of the constitutional judgment act for us in Decani is also unacceptable, unjust, anti-legal and unconstitutional. The implementation of the Constitutional Court's decision on property is the largest attack on the legal and constitutional order of citizenship and sovereignty of Kosovo. We are not going to stop our efforts and since today we have sought the help of the lawyers and the best lawyers for the subject to be treated and prepared at the Human Rights Court in Strasbourg”, he said.
