Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has commemorated Albion Cumnova, Artan Efendija, Gzim Deva, Lutfi Bulnjak, Bekim Bulnjak and Shkelzen Binishin in the 25-year-old murder of them.
On March 31, 1999, the Kumnova family home in Gjakova broke through with the Serb armed forces. From there they took six men and boys from civilians: Albion Kumnova, Artan Efendija, Gezim Deva, Lutfi Bunnjaku, Bekim Bulnjaku and Shkelzen Binishi. After they were kidnapped, they were killed and destroyed. Serbia also kidnapped their corpses in an attempt to hide the traces of crime. In 2011, their troops were found in Batajnica in the suburbs of Belgrade. Among them was not Albion. Albion was 21 years old. Today it's 25 years since his disappearance. Over the centuries, waiting and trying for the truth for those with violence missing from Serbia. ”
Kurti has said there is still lack of acceptance of the truth from Serbia and justice for crimes committed during the war in Kosovo.
“Ende lacks acceptance of the truth from Serbia and justice for crimes committed during the war in Kosovo. Over 950 Albanians have been evacuated from five mass graveyards in Serbia and removed from rivers of lakes, where Serbia tried to sink its truth. ”
He has said that as a government, we [are] refocusing our pledge not to seek enlightenment of truth and justice for war crimes”.
“Today, on this anniversary, commemorating the only son of the Cumnova family, we remember the most loved ones in the families of our people who were kidnapped and violently destroyed by Milosevic's genocide regime. We honor the sacrifice for our free country. The position of Mother Nesrete and Baca Muharrem Kumnova keeps us all strong. ”
