Prime Minister Edi Rama published images today during work on building the New Kukes Bridge.
The head of the government says this bridge provides solutions to an old knot connecting both sides of the lake to the national road.

Kukes ' Great Bridge over the Drin River is designed by Italian engineer Giorgio Rizzo.
The bridge is the steel - bow structure Corten and has a total length of 310m, while the metal arch has a base of 270m, a height of 56m and weighs about 5,000 tonnes.
The bridge is a 50m-euro investment and will merge Drini's banks on the Nation Road. It will replace the existing old bridge. The Great Bridge is expected to be in the works of travellers during the summer season. There will be four lanes in the two stories of the intermediate traffic divider and steel cables that are attached from the base to the bridge bow.
