HIB Petrol supports the Association of Blinds “Jakova” for realising activities on March 8th

To promote the inclusion and celebrate the talents of blind persons and with weakened eyesight, HIB Petrol has established a co-operation with the Association of Verbers “Jakova” to support the implementation of activity in honour of March 8th, International Women's Day.

The Association of Blind “Jakova”, headquartered in Gjakova, has recorded about 400 blind people and with weakened vision. Over the years, this association is committed to empowering its members, most of whom face various challenges and difficult financial conditions. So, at the association, they find a space to talk about their problems and a place where they can feel they're part of the community.

HIB Petrol believes that helping the community creates a powerful bond that then brings positive changes to society” has said Adelina Aslan, head of the Office for Communication and Public Relations.

The Blind Association “Jakova” annually organises such activities in order for association members to display their talents. At the same time, it serves as a platform to raise the awareness of the general public around blind persons and with weakened vision. It also plays a role as an alternative center that they can be an equal part of society and a part of various activities.

The event includes several activities such as organising a round table where there will be discussion of the role, commitments, achievements and obstacles of women as part of the association “Jakova”, and there will be sports competitions at go-ball and chess.

Support provided by the HIB once again confirms the company's dedication to helping society by boosting the sense of community involvement.
