“The government is fighting “to” municipalities that are driven by VV”

The Malisheva municipality has not received support from the central level in 2024. Even the deputy head of this municipality, Vesel Krasniqi, tells EO that the Malishevas are being persecuted by the Kurti Government. He says support had only last year with a symbolic sum. He says support had only last year with a symbolic sum.
Wessel sees this as the <x0 war> <x1) political approach to the municipality of Malisheva and some municipalities that are not led by the Vetevendosje Movement.
We have also made our municipal statements of Malisheva has not been backed by any project even for 2024. We've had a solid amount in 2023 somewhere around 100,000 euros, but for 2024 no project has been divided even a cent so far. We have been called by the line ministers for co-finance of specific projects. We have also repeatedly submitted projects this year, but so far we have no answers on their part -- this is seen as an internal political struggle against the Malisheva municipality and some other municipalities that are not guided by the VV. I think it is a persecution of the municipality of Malisheva citizens in this case because they are citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and they pay taxes, taxes to this country, whether from business fields or as citizens, and certainly the Kosovo Government will treat all municipalities and all citizens of its Republic” equal, Krasniqi says.
Malisheva's number two says that despite continued demands, they have not received positive answers. He also mentions dictatorships that have help to co-finance the specifics. The “just this month that we left behind in February that was an invitation from the Ministry of Environment then the Ministry of Regional Development we've delivered somewhere nine projects which are certainly big projects with co-finance understood and we, to this moment, have no response, we expect that at least this time the government is guided by Prime Minister Kurti to reflect on his minutes to set up a budget for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, Veselin says further.
And from the total 23m-euro budget Maliseva has, 6m of them are for capital investments. This sum says it will transform Malisheva for good.
