European Parliament calls for lifting measures on Kosovo

In this Resolution It also calls on the EU to adopt a balanced approach to intermediation between the parties in the dialogue in order to overcome the current stalemate.
“ (The European Parliament) supports the normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia and the development of EU-mediated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina; calls on Kosovo and Serbia to engage in confidential dialogue and the spirit of compromise to reach an inclusive, legally binding agreement for normalising their relations, based on mutual recognition, in accordance with international law and without further delay of”, it is said at one of the provisions of this Resolution.

This resolution also recalls that failure to advance the normalisation of relations would negatively affect the two countries' EU integration.
The European Parliament expresses regret over the restrictive measures set by the Council against Kosovo and calls for the immediate removal of them; calls on the EU to adopt a balanced approach to intermediation between the sides in order to overcome the current stalemate; recalls that dialogue's failure would also have implications for the EU's role as a reliable foreign policy player<1>, said among other things in the EP Resolution.
In the same resolution, Parliament has called for measures to be taken against Serbia if it turns out it is involved in the armed attack on Banjska. /Telegraph
