EU demanded that KPK law be in line with Venice Commission, MD reacts

The chief of the EU Office in Kosovo, Thomas Szunyog, has reacted after the first reading of the Bill for the Prosecutorial Council, where he said their expectations are for the draft to fully comply with the Venice Commission's recommendations prior to the law's adoption. Following his response, the Ministry of Justice came out with a post, suggesting that the Commission for Legislation will address recommendations that have emerged from the Venice Commission hearing on December 15, 1923 and the opinion published this same month.
The new version of this bill reportedly envisions significant changes through which it is targeted, greater accountability, functional KPK independence and results for the entire system
